Javon Jones’ focus in his performance art continues to prioritize sacred illustrations of ancestral reverence, black boy magic, and rituals of change. The stories he shares are a reflection of his blood memories which have been triggered by his personal encounters with nature and ancestral practices. By writing in personal and ancestral histories that have often gone unnamed or unnoticed, Javon’s theologies bloom into modern day folklore.

Through the creation of original productions, community engagement, and collaboration Javon seeks to explore the major archetypes that have shaped our society thus far while also striving to embody new forms.
